If this is not the case, then admission to the Master's Programme is also only possible after it has been examined that candidates have met the qualitative admission requirements.

ENTRANCE EXAM

The examination of the qualitative admission requirements is made up of the following parts:

  • Demonstration of the conducting talent by conducting the given compulsory programme (see entrance exam prerequisites) and solving the conducting tasks set by the examination board.
  • Demonstration of practical musical abilities
  • Additional requirement for "Conducting-Opera Coaching": Performing various piano arrangements in the given required programme.

The test of qualitative admission requirements is based on the content of the Bachelor's final exam (see curriculum) and represents a review of what is required at this level. The applicants have to prove that they have the artistic potential to meet the demands of the particular Master's Programme, which they want to take.

In the course of the colloquium it will be determined, if necessary, which courses the candidate still needs to complete from the Bachelor´s Programme in “Conducting”.
